Judge Juergen Koetter Jr. of Victoria, TX; repeat offender

The state of Texas presented Juergen Koetter Jr. with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from South Texas Law College.

The Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in improper ex parte (one-sided) communications
  • Prohibited defense to put on a defense to plaintiff’s claim for damages
  • Improperly awarded $45,000 in fees to attorney
  • Denied defendant due process rights

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Judge Koetter’s First bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree. He previously was disciplined for engaging in the same type of misconduct aforementioned.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Commission on Judicial Conduct punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Bobby remains sitting as a District Court Judge in Trinity, Texas.
