Attorney Dennis Burke of Phoenix; ethical misfit

The state of Vermont presented Dennis K. Burke with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Denny guilty of the following misconduct.

While employed as a U.S. Attorney, Denny found it acceptable to lead two classified documents about Operation Fast and Furious, the failed gun-running sting that allowed illegal firearms to be smuggled across the border into Mexico.

After being admonished by his supervisor when it was discovered that Denny had released a classified document, he did the same thing by releasing a second classified document several days later.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Denny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Denny practices in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

Warning: Denny does not carry legal malpractice insurance
