Former US Judge Boyce Martin Jr. of Louisville; greedy loser

The state of Kentucky presented Boyce Ficklen Martin Jr. with a law license after he graduated from the University of Virginia Law School

President Jimmy Carter was duped into appointing Boyce to a seat on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati in 1979.

Boyce didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Louisville area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

Boyce resigned from the federal bench on August 16, 2013 and will be receiving an annual pension of $211,200 until he dies.

Prior his retirement, Boyce was being investigated by the U.S. Justice Department and Committee on Judicial Conduct and Disability of the U.S. Judicial Conference in regards to the outrageous travel expenses he billed to the government.

Over the course of four (4) years, Boyce billed the government $138,500 in travel expenses. Shortly after the Justice Department began its investigation, Boyce agreed to pay the $138,500 to the government.

Boyce had the chutzpah to blame court administrators in Cincinnati for the outrageous and/or unjustified travel expense claims that he received.

After Boyce repaid the $138,500 he wasn’t entitled too, the wimps at the Justice Department dropped its investigation and let him off the hook.

As we speak (ca. April 2014) Greedy Boyce practices in Louisville, Kentucky.
