Attorney Mark Jones of Missoula, MT; ethical leprechaun

The state of Montana presented Mark Edward Jones with a law license in 1990.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel of Montana (ODC) found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

1. Improperly represented clients as defense attorney in another county while working as GraniteCounty attorney
2. Engaged in a conflict of interest
3. Used his elected position to benefit former clients in GraniteCounty
4. Within days of taking office, Mark filed a motion to dismiss criminal charges against a man he previously represented in a civil case
5. Filed motion as prosecutor in criminal case involving a prior client
6. Represented criminal defendants in Missoula while working as full-time prosecutor in GraniteCounty

At the time of his misconduct, Mark was t he elected Granite County Attorney. However, the Montana Supreme Court ordered him to resign his office and not seek re-election due to his misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Montana Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. March 2014), Mark practices at 126 East Broadway Street in Missoula, Montana.
