Attorney Peter Decato of Lebanon, NH; ethical leprechaun

The state of Vermont presented R. Peter R. Decato with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Maine Law School.

The Vermont Bar Court found Pete guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Failed to assist client in obtaining substitute counsel
  2. Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  3. Failed to properly investigate client’s claims
  4. Failed to pursue claim against proper corporate defendant
  5. Did not research the legal basis for his claim v. owner/co-employee
  6. Abandoned a cause of action v. manufacturer
  7. Neglected legal matter entrusted to him

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Pete by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2014) Pete practices with The Decato Law Office at 84 Hanover Street in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

On his self-serving website at www.decatolaw.com, Pete makes no mention of the aforementioned misconduct. Apparently, Pete decided to conceal said information so as to not limit his future victim pool.
