Judge Gary Tabor of Olympia, WA; homophobe, lifetime porker

The state of Washington presented Gary Tabor with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Puget Sound Law School.

Gary has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past thirty-five (35) years. Put simply, if it wasn’t for a government check, Gary would likely be working as a greeter at the Wal-Mart store located in Tumwater. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Olympia area was about to offer Gary a good paying job.

The Washington Judicial Conduct Commission found Judge Tabor guilty of the following misconduct.

Although Gary took an oath to uphold the laws and constitution of Washington and the United States; however, he apparently decided to thumb his nose at the law that guarantees equal protection and/or prohibits discrimination.

In late 2013, Gary refused to officiate at the weddings of same-sex couples. Gary, who graduated from Oklahoma Christian College, stated publicly that “for philosophical and religious reasons,” he would not perform marriages for gay and lesbian couples. Gary made this pronouncement despite that fact that he absolutely knew that such marriages were legal in Washington since December 2012 (over one year).

It is indeed unfortunate that a Certified Homophobic Bigot like Gary is able to remain on the bench despite his adamant refusal to follow the law.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Gary by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. March 2014), Gary continues to sit as a Thurston County Superior Court Judge in Olympia, Washington.
