Attorney Douglas Breidenbach Jr. of Pottstown, PA; ethical misfit
The state of Pennsylvania presented Douglas B. Breidenbach Jr. with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Villanova University Law School.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) has found Doug guilty of the following misconduct.
- Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
- Failed to abide by client decisions re: scope of representation
- Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
- Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
- Failed to explain matter to extent necessary for client to make informed decision regarding representation
- Collected an illegal or clearly excessive fee (cheater)
- Engaged in a conflict of interest
- Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client’s interests after being fired
- Failed to expedite litigation
- Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
As one would suspect, this wasn’t Doug’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Doug by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. June 2014) Doug practices at 1800 East High Street in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.
