Judge Francisco Firmat of Santa Ana; apologist for crooked lawyers
So-called Judge Francisco Firmat unfortunately sits as the presiding Family Court Judge on the Orange County Superior Court in Santa Ana, California.
In 2000, Judge Francisco Firmat forever cemented his status as a certified moron, ethical elf and more importantly an apologist and enabler for crooked lawyers.
The crooked attorney that Judge Francisco Firmat gleefully protected was none other than the well-recognized Anaheim, California attorney Ronald Lais.
The California State Bar suspended Ron Lais on August 13, 1999 and again on December 1, 2000 due to the serial frauds he had committed on his ex-clients. On March 11, 2001, Ron Lais resigned his law license while additional charges of egregious misconduct were pending.
Attorney Ron Lais’ years-long misconduct was duly reported by the Orange County Register and the San Francisco Chronicle. In addition, on February 15, 2001, the Wall Street Journal published a front page story detailing the egregious nature of Ron Lais’ misconduct. The story was titled: “Lowering the Bar, Suspended Attorneys Hang Virtual Shingles Online.” (http://tinyurl.com/yezlquk)
Now folks, ya gotta be one big time crooked lawyer to make the front page of the Wall Street Journal, right?
There can be no dispute that Judge Francisco Firmat was well aware of the aforementioned news stories. More importantly, he absolutely knew that from August 1999 through December 2000 that the State Bar had suspended Ron Lais’ law license. In fact, it is common practice for the State Bar to send notices to the Superior Court alerting it that Lais was suspended. (http://tinyurl.com/yfsdwtc)
In late 1999, this ol’ Dawg published an article on his web site detailing the extensive nature of Ron Lais preying on unsuspecting clients and the fact that he accepted clients and attorney fees while he was suspended from the practice of law.
In February 2000, Ron Lais filed a lawsuit in Orange County Superior Court seeking to have my entire web site shut down because the expose of his misconduct was causing him to loose clients and income as an attorney.
On October 29, 2001, Judge Francisco Firmat executed a permanent injunction causing my web site to be totally shut down under the guise that my article regarding Ron Lais was in fact causing him to loose clients and future attorney fees.
Now folks, you have to be one big time moron to buy into Ron Lais’ claims of loosing clients and fees when in fact he was not authorized to practice law. Unfortunately, by granting the injunction, Judge Francisco Firmat confirmed that he was totally ignorant of the 1st Amendment and more importantly a total ignoramus.
It should be mentioned that both Judge Francisco Firmat and attorney Ron Lais both attended the California Western School of Law in San Diego at the same time. In fact, Firmat and Lais were members of the same fraternity and/or other school organizations after they graduated. Put simply, Firmat and Lais were friends and/or close associates during and after their respective graduations.
Conclusion
Can there by any doubt that Judge Francisco Firmat is a moron and ethical leper-con in addition to being a certified enabler and apologist for crooked lawyers.
In 2005, attorney Ronald Lais was sentenced to 14-years in prison for engaging in numerous felonies, which included practicing law without a license. The felonies Ron Lais was convicted of included the conduct that was exposed on my web site and which Judge Francisco Firmat determined was causing Lais to loose prospective clients and future attorney fees.
Need I say more to establish that Judge Francisco Firmat is the quintessential moron and enabler for crooked judges in the State of California?
