Attorney Dwight Shoemaker of Aledo, IL; greedy loser

The state of Illinois presented Dwight Lee Shoemaker with a law license in 1968

The Disciplinary Commission found Dwight guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Dwight found it acceptable to collect an unreasonable fee in a probate matter when he paid himself $35,000 in executor fees and $65,000 in attorney fees in the same matter.

Making matters worse, Dwight failed to take reasonable efforts to close the estate.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Dwight gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2013) Dwight practices at 403 SE 2nd Avenue in Aledo, Illinois.
