Texas Rep. Charles Howard of Sugar Land; scofflaw, ethical gremlin
Rep. Charles Howard was elected to the 26th District of the Texas House of Representatives in 1995
Pursuant to Chapter § 254.0612 of the Election Code, for all contributions of $500 or more, a candidate is required to disclose (a) the individual’s principal occupation or job title and (b) the full name of the individual’s employer. This requirement went into effect in September 2003.
It is apparent that Rep. Charles Howard does not possess the intellectualism to understand the simple terms contained in the Texas Election Code requiring disclosures relating to contributors. This apparent ignorance of the law despite the fact that Rep. Charles Howard claims he graduated from the business school at Harvard.
On fifty-five (55) occasions from late 2005 through 2008, Rep. Charles Howard violated election code disclosure requirements as set forth below. The total dollar amount of the nondisclosures by Rep. Charles Howard is $59,750.
