Attorney Lacy Wheeler III of Media, PA; deadbeat loser
The state of Pennsylvania presented Lacy R. Wheeler III with a law license in 1984
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Lacy guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Lacy was hired to perform collection work for a residential housing cooperative. While collecting accounts, Lacy failed to timely notify the client of his receipt of, and to promptly remit to the client, funds that were the lawful property of the client.
In another matter, Lacy contacted a witness who was subpoenaed by Disciplinary Counsel prior to the first day of the disciplinary hearing and told her to disregard the subpoena. This is referred to as “witness tampering” and/or “obstruction of justice.”
In a third matter, Lacy was a party to a Uniform Reciprocal Enforcement of Support Act (URESA). Over the period of fifteen (15) years, Lacy engaged in repeated conduct that was designed to avoid compliance with his support obligations and necessitated the filing of repeated petitions for contempt and the issuance of bench warrants for his failure to pay support and his failure to appear for hearings in the matter.
Eventually, a high-priority arrest warrant was issued and Lacy was apprehended in Philadelphia after fleeing from constables in an attempt to elude arrest.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Lacy by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. July 2013) Lacy practices at 12 Veterans Square in Media, Pennsylvania.
