Attorney Richard Davis of McKinney, TX; ethical leprechaun

The state of Texas presented Richard Dewey Davis with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

In a previous life, Richard sat as a judge on the 272nd District Court in Bryan, Texas. During his worthless tenure on the bench, Richard was found guilty of the following misconduct by the Texas Judicial Commission.
  1. Engaged in willful and persistent misconduct
  2. Cast public discredit upon the judiciary (And your point is?)
  3. Willfully and repeatedly violated Supreme Court Rules
  4. Knowingly and repeatedly violated well-settled law
  5. Failed to withdraw from cases when it was undisputed that he was biased
  6. Engaged in persistent conduct wherein he cast substantial doubt on his ability to act impartially as a judge
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Richard by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

After spending almost 30 years porking out at the public trough, Richard receives an undeserved publicly funded pension of about $75,000 a year.

Richard now earns a dishonest living as a so-called private mediator and arbitrator. Richard has the chutzpah to bill each party to a case $1,000 for one day of his useless services. For a half day of his worthless services, Richard charges each party $600 a day. If there are 6 parties to a case represented by 6 attorneys, then Richard would charge $6,000 a day. A princely sum for a certified loser like Richard!

As we speak, (ca. July 2013), Richard operates the Richard D. Davis Mediation Services at 5100 Eldorado Parkway in McKinney, Texas.

On his self-serving website at www.judgetxdavis.com, Richard makes no mention of the fact that he was found guilty of a series of misconduct while sitting on the bench. Apparently, Richard decided to conceal this relevant information in order to not limit his future victim pool.
