Today’s “Bullshit” Award Winner
In addition to being a well respected Bullshitter, Mike is also a highly regarded Moron, Lunatic, Screwball and Aspiring Standup Comedian.
During a recent appearance before a group of Southern Baptist pastors at a conference in Houston, Texas on June 20, 2013, Mike decided to give the attendees a sample of his Bullshit.
In this instance, Mike the Bullshitter urged pastors to reject government tax breaks for their churches. Mike went on to advise the pastors to reconsider whether their tax-exempt status is worth the potential risks given the alleged targeting of conservative groups by the IRS.
Mike the Bullshitter then said,
“The recent revelations that the IRS has been targeting people of faith – people who are conservative, people who are pro-Israel…”
“I think it may be time to quit worrying so much about the tax code and start thinking more about the truth of the living God.”
“If it means that we give up tax exempt status and tax deductions for charitable contributions, I choose freedom more than I choose a deduction that the government gives me permission to say what God wants me to say.”
Of course Mike’s full of crap as usual by falsely claiming the IRS was targeting people of faith, whatever the hell that’s supposed to mean.
One thing I do agree with is that the government shouldn’t give a tax exemption to any church or so-called charitable organization. The folks that really get screwed in this regard are atheists who are made to then pay taxes to make up for what these groups never pay.
I suspect that at least 90% of Southern Baptists would be offended to know that they’re paying taxes to support the Muslim and Mormon faiths. Of course the opposite would likely be true.
Congrats Mike; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most Respected “Bullshitters”; you are far too humble.
