Attorney Francis Colleran of Philadelphia; lying loser
The state of Pennsylvania presented Francis T. Colleran with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Villanova University Law School.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Francis guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Francis represented a client in a medical malpractice action.
Subsequently, Francis received a Medical-Legal Report prepared by his expert, Dr. Steven R. Graboff. The Report was marked “Draft Report” and was preliminary and incomplete because Francis had not yet taken the deposition of defendant, Dr. Menachem Meller, questioned him on x-ray interpretations, or discussed Dr. Meiler’s interpretations with Dr. Graboff.
Shortly after Francis filed the medical malpractice lawsuit, Dr. Meller’s attorney, William H. Pugh, V, requested that Francis forward him an expert report. In response, Francis whited out the words “Draft Report” and sent it to Mr. Pugh without advising him that the Report was a draft and that he had altered it.
Dr. Graboff did not give Francis permission to remove the words “DRAFT REPORT” from the report he had prepared. In its altered state, the REPORT was misleading because it gave the appearance of being a final report.
Francis’ deceit resulted in the filing of a complaint against his expert witness, Dr. Graboff with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). Subsequently, AAOS suspended Dr. Graboff for two years for his unprofessional conduct in the performance of expert witness testimony.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Robert by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
Dr. Graboff receives a two-year suspension while Francis the Liar receives a complimentary reprimand from the comedians on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. What a joke!!
As we speak (ca. June 2013) Francis practices with The Colleran Firm at 21 South 12th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
