Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX): Today’s “Joseph Goebbels Truth-Teller” Award Winner

Congratulations to….
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)
Today’s “Joseph Goebbels Truth-Teller”Award Winner
FYI: Joseph Goebbels was the quintessential truth-teller during his tenure as the chief purveyor of propaganda for the Third Reich prior to and during World War II.
Goebbels was well-respected in the field of journalism for never showing any bias and for always telling the truth and nothing but the truth. It should be remembered that journalistic stalwarts like Walter Cronkite couldn’t hold a candle to Joseph’s journalist integrity and adherence to the truth.
It should be remembered that Teddy learned how to twist the truth and fabricate false facts while he attended Harvard Law School.
After donning a pair of industrial strength knee pads provide at no cost by Wayne LaPierre of the NRA, Teddy agreed to an interview by Reid Pillifant of Capitol New York. Pillifant asked Teddy a few questions about his opposition to the Manchin-Toomey compromise in the U.S. Senate on background checks.
Teddy told Pillifant that we should be focused on enforcing current laws rather than expanding background checks. Pillifant then confronted Teddy with the fact that Manchin-Toomey explicitly outlawed the creation of a gun registry and made it a felony to do so punishable by 15 years in prison.
Of course Teddy wasn’t about to let irrefutable facts to prevent him from spewing forth a dose of his usual hyperbole (BS). Towards that end, Teddy said in part:
“It [Manchin-Toomey] purports to do so. But, if it were passed, the next day the argument from the Justice Department, from the Obama Administration would be, this legislation is utterly ineffective because we don’t have a registry…”
Teddy never explains how the President could unilaterally change a law passed by congress in setting up a gun registry. However, who could question the intellect of someone who graduated magna scum laude from Harvard Law?
Congrats Teddy; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s Least Respected “Truth-Tellers”; you are far too humble.
