Attorney Mark Byrne of The Woodlands, TX; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented Mark Steven Byrne with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from South Texas Law College.

A panel of the district 3-B Grievance Committee found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Mark was hired to represent a client in a personal injury case. Mark failed to carry out completely the obligations he owed to his client or keep the client reasonably informed about the status of his case.

Mark also failed to comply with his client’s requests for information or explain the matter to the extent necessary for the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation.

And lastly, Mark failed to timely respond to the ethics complaint. In reality, Mark said, “Up Yours!”

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year fully probated suspension.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Mark.

As we speak (ca. May 2013) Mark continues to practice in The Woodlands, Texas area.
