Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner
In the recent past, Don the Comic had the chutzpah to file a $5 million defamation lawsuit against a real comedian, Bill Maher, the host of HBO’s “Real Time.”
The Comics lawsuit concerned a $5 million bet between Donnie and Bill. In January 2013, Bill said he’d pay $5 million in cash to Donnie’s choice of charities if Donnie released a birth certificate proving he wasn’t the “spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan.”
Bill’s comment about Donnie’s mother having sex with an orangutan was particularly upsetting to the National Association for the Civil Rights of Orangutans.
Of course Bill was playing on the Don the Birther’s challenge of the authenticity of Obama’s birth certificate.
On March 29, 2013, Donnie announced that he was dismissing his laughable lawsuit against Bill. Donnie’s mouthpiece, attorney Michael Cohen had the chutzpah to say, “The lawsuit was temporarily withdrawn to be amended and refiled at a later date.”
Since Donnie is “defamation proof,” I doubt that he has the balls to refile this suit anytime soon.
Congrats Donnie; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s Least Appreciated “Standup Comedians”; you are far too humble.
