Attorney Mark Phillips of Nashua, NH; repeat offender
The state of California provided Mark N. Phillips with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Pepperdine University Law School.
The California Bar Court found Mark guilty of misconduct on several separate occasions as set forth below.
Mark’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
Mark stipulated (admitted) to misconduct in 17 separate matters. In most case,
In five cases, bench warrants were issued for Mark’s clients’ arrest when they failed to appear in court due to Mark’s negligence. Some of the clients lost their causes of action as a direct result of Mark’s misconduct.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.
Mark’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
Mark was previously ordered by the State Bar Court to make restitution of $16,350 to 13 parties (victims), but he failed to do so. The disciplinary order was the result of Mark withdrawing from employment, failing to perform legal services competently, promptly refund unearned fees or communicate with clients, and committing acts of moral turpitude.
