Attorney Roy Cole of Ogden, UT; ethical dwarf

The state of Utah presented Roy D. Cole with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from Creighton University Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Roy guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to safeguard client funds
  2. Engaged in a conflict of interest
  3. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonest, deceit or misrepresentation
  4. Commingled client property with his personal property
  5. Failed to provide accurate accounting to his client
  6. Failed to take steps to protect client’s interests when he was fired
In one matter, Roy was hired by a client that gave Roy Power of Attorney that entrusted items of personal property to Roy. Subsequently, Roy accepted property from his client without the proper safeguards in place. Roy also failed to keep adequate records regarding the client’s property.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Roy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2013), Roy practices with the Law Office of Rod D. Cole LLC at 2564 Washington Blvd in Ogden, Utah.
