Attorney Jeffery Sutton of Basehor, KS; incompetent, thief

The state of Kansas presented Jeffery A. Sutton with a law license in 1989.

The Kansas Disciplinary Board found Jeffery guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  2. Failed to safeguard client property
  3. Failed to accept responsibility for his misconduct
In one matter while acting as an Assistant County Attorney in Labette County, Jeffery appeared before Judge Daniel L. Brewster at a preliminary hearing in a criminal matter. During the hearing, Jeffery whispered to his own witness, the arresting officer that Judge Brewster was acting like a cockroach because he was taking evidentiary rulings under advisement during the hearing and not ruling on objections in open court. Jeffery’s comment was picked up on a tape recording machine that was used in the courtroom.

In a second matter, Jeffery was arrested in Noel, Missouri, in a bar fight and charged with disturbing the peace. Because Attorney Misfits in Kansas and Missouri are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, the so-called prosecutor dropped the charges.

In a third matter, Jeffery was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct and disobeying a stop sign in connection with a fight at a road construction site. The highway was under construction and traffic was limit ed to sharing a single lane. Traffic was stopped for the pilot vehicle which escorted waiting vehicles in each direction.

Jeffery drove east in the north lane past several stopped vehicles waiting for the pilot car to return. A road worked approached Jeffery’s car and held out her stop sign. However, Jeffery continued east bound striking the sign with his car. Jeffery then stopped his car and cursed at the worker. He then threw a full Pepsi bottle at the worker, striking her in the side.

Subsequently, the road worker sued Jeffery. Workers compensation carrier filed a lien against Jeffery for the $60,885 it paid, representing a $40,000 payment for permanent disability, $13,202 for temporary disability payments, and $7,684 for medical bills.

In a fourth matter, Jeffery received $419.90 from Wabaunsee County to attend a four day seminar in Kansas City, Missouri. Upon his return from the seminar, Jeffery billed the County an additional $44.80 for mileage to and from Kansas City.

To prove that he is corrupt and a certified crook, Jeffery then billed the Kansas County and District Attorneys Association for the same seminar, which included mileage, food and lodging. He then received a check from the National Association of Prosecutor Coordinators.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Jeffery by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. February 2013) Jeffery practices with the Sutton Law Firm LLC at 15510 State Avenue in Basehor, Kansas.
