Attorney Zenas Zelotes of Butler, PA; repeat offender

The state of Connecticut provided Zenas Zelotes with a law license in 2001.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Zenas guilty of the following misconduct on at least two occasions.

Zenas’ 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

In one matter, Kathleen Bennett hired Zenas to represent her in a personal bankruptcy case. At the time, Kathleen had two mechanic’s liens on her real property which Zenas agreed to have removed.

However, Zenas the Moron didn’t know that mechanic’s liens could not be discharged in bankruptcy. Of course this didn’t prevent Zenas from charging Kathleen $225 to discharge the liens. Making matters worse, the Moron made numerous procedural mistakes during her so-called representation of Kathleen.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Zenas by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Michael and Terry Aliano first met Zenas in a jazz club in New London in early 2010. Terry had recently filed for divorce from Michael but they were trying to reconcile. The Alianos became friends with Zenas and initially they socialized with Zenas and his girlfriend, Sharon. However, the relationship between Terry and Zenas soon deepened, and they began to see each other separately. Throughout the summer of 2010, their relationship intensified to the point where they would interact daily, spend evenings together, and hug, hold hands and kiss.

Terry had problems paying her current divorce attorney, which led to her hiring Zenas. In December 2010, Michael’s lawyer filed a motion to have Zenas removed from representing Terry in the divorce case. After a hearing on the matter, Judge Shluger granted the motion in disqualifying Zenas from further representing Terry.

During the pendency of the divorce case, Michael and Terry continued to live in the marital home. On three (3) separate occasions, Michael returned to the home and found Zenas there with Terry. At 10:45 pm on December 10, Michael arrived at his house and found Zenas and again drinking wine and listing to music after having put the children to bed. Michael confronted Zenas about the appropriateness of him being there. Zenas then told Michael he couldn’t speak to him because he was represented by an attorney. Michael then demanded that Zenas leave his home, but he refused to do so.

In attempting to defend his outrageous conduct in regards to what constitutes a conflict of interest, Zenas had the chutzpah to suggest that a divorcing woman should “find a competent litigator and make him your boyfriend.” In truth, Zenas was telling the Grievance Committee to kiss his derriere!

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Zenas by gifting him with another complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2013) Zenas practices at 217 Fairway Lane in Butler, Pennsylvania.
