Attorney Richard Sklare of Chicago; serial thief

The state of Illinois presented Richard C. Sklare with a law license in 1989.

The Disciplinary Commission found Richard guilty of the following misconduct.

On at least six (6) occasions, Richard wrote checks on his law firm account that were payable to doctors and falsely

made it appear as though the payments were costs for treating clients of the law firm. Richard then cashed the checks and used the proceeds for his own personal purposes.

In addition, Richard advanced living expenses to a client in direct contravention of the Rules of Professional Conduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Richard by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.
.
As we speak (ca. December 2012) James practices with The Sklare Law Group at 20 North Clark Street in Chicago, Illinois.
