Attorney Brent Chipman of Salt Lake City; ethical dwarf

The state of Utah presented Brent R. Chipman with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Brigham Young University Law School

The Chair of the Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Brent guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Brent was hired to represent a client in a divorce case. Brent failed to communicate the rate or basis of his fee in writing to the client as required by the Disciplinary Rules.

In addition, Brent agreed to prepare a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) on behalf of the client. However, Brent failed to complete the QDRO despite numerous requests from the client over a two year period of time to complete the work.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished H. Delbert by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (December 2012) Brent practices at 4001 South 700 East in Salt Lake City, Utah.
