Attorney Sarah Creem of Portland, OR; ethical misfit
The state of Oregon provided Sarah Brudi Creem with a law license in 2003
The Oregon State Bar found Sarah guilty of the following misconduct:
In one matter, Sarah filed a divorce action on behalf of Shelby Quillen. Custody of and support for the parties’ three minor children were issues at the trial. Subsequently, the trial court signed a judgment, prepared by Sarah awarding custody of all three children to Quillen, required child support to be paid, and provided for parenting for the ex-husband. A hearing was scheduled for the court to review the parenting plan.
When Sarah appeared for the parenting hearing she knew that one of Quillen’s children had been arrested and jailed for several months. Sarah knew for a fact that neither the trial judge nor the ex-husband was aware of these facts. The child’s incarceration was a material fact and Sarah knowingly and intentionally failed to disclose it to the court at the parenting hearing
As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Sarah by gifting her with a complimentary 30 day suspension of her law license.
As we speak (ca. October 2012) Sarah practices law with Gevurtz Menashe Larson & Howe PC at 111 SW 5th Avenue in Portland, Oregon.
