Attorney Oscar Green of Pell City, AR; serial offender

 
The state of Arkansas provided Oscar Jerome Green with a law license in 1995.
 
The Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct found David guilty of misconduct on several occasions as set forth below.
 
Oscar’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2003

  1. Failed to act with reasonable diligence (slacker)
  2. Failed to respond to repeated calls from client
  3. Failed to provide competent legal services (moron)
  4. Failed to keep client reasonably informed about status of legal matter
  5. Failed to explain matter to client so client could make informed decision on representation
  6. Failed to return unearned fee (crook)
Mr. Robinson hired Oscar to represent him in a matter wherein he suffered medical problems from his stay at a hotel in Memphis. Oscar advised Robinson that he had a legitimate claim against the hotel and agreed to represent him. Oscar asked that Robinson pay him $500 for lawsuit expense; however, Oscar never filed any lawsuit on Robinson’s behalf. Despite never incurring any lawsuit expenses, Oscar refused to refund the $500.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct punished David by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.
 
Oscar’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2005

 
The Arkansas Supreme Court found Oscar guilty of contempt for representing a client in an appellate matter when his law license was suspended. Moreover, Oscar failed to actually perfect the appeal on behalf of his client (victim)
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct punished David by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
 
Oscar’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2006

 
Oscar was hired by Mr. Antonik to purse a discrimination lawsuit on his behalf. The agreed upon fee was for Antonik to pay Oscar $5,000 along with a percentage of any recovery which he obtained. Subsequently, Antonik paid Oscar $3,150 of the agreed upon fee.
 
Shortly thereafter, Oscar filed a lawsuit against Heber Springs Water Department and Don Knight. For almost two (2) years Oscar allowed the lawsuit to sit idle. During this time, Oscar closed his law office and Antonik could not locate him.
 
After Oscar refused to comply with a court order to provide discovery to the defendants, they filed another motion to dismiss Antonik’s lawsuit, which the trial court granted as a result of Oscar’s gross negligence.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct punished David by gifting him with another complimentary reprimand.
