The state of Arkansas provided Alvin D. Clay with a law license
 
The Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct found Alvin guilty of misconduct on several occasions as set forth below.
 
Alvin’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2004

 
Alvin was found guilty of making a false statement of material fact in a custody dispute matter as to the relationship of an adversary party and the presiding judge, a fact that Alvin absolutely knew was false.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct punished Alvin by gifting him with a complimentary caution.
 
Alvin’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2005

  1. Failed to act with reasonable diligence on client’s behalf (slacker)
  2. Failed to comply with a Supreme Court order
  3. Failed to file required appellate brief on behalf of client
  4. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct punished Alvin by gifting him with a yet another complimentary caution.
 
Alvin’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2006

  1. Failed to explain the terms and basis for his legal fee to client
  2. Failed to deposit client funds in client trust account
  3. Commingled client funds with his personal funds
  4. Failed to return unearned fees to client (cheater)
  5. Failed to return client file to client after being discharged
  6. Failed to take necessary steps to protect client’s interest after being discharged
  7. Wrote a bad check to client with insufficient funds in account
Alvin’s 4th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2008

 
A jury in a federal trial found Alvin guilty of five (5) felony offenses, which were (a) one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and (b) four counts of engaging in a monetary transaction in property derived from wire fraud
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct punished Alvin by gifting him with a complimentary suspension of his law license.
 
Alvin’s 5th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2009

  1. Refused to cooperate with disciplinary investigators (Up Yours, said Alvin!)
  2. Failed to promptly deliver settlement funds to client
  3. Failed to provide client with accounting of client funds he received
As a consequence of Alvins’ 5th bite at the Misfit Tree, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct punished Alvin by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
 
As we speak (ca. July 2012) Alvin continues to practice law at 1404 Ward Lane in Blytheville, Arkansas.
