Attorney Stephen Garcia of Phoenix, AZ; ethical gremlin

The state of Arizona presented Stephen S. Garcia with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from the New York School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Met with person represented by counsel without prior approval of the person’s attorney
  • Electronically signed a defendant’s name to a post-conviction motion for relief without obtaining the defendant’s prior authorization
  • Filed a petition in which he made substantive arguments based upon a fraudulent police report given to him by the defendant’s mother
  • Stevie revealed confidential information to the prosecutor and the court without the client’s permission
  • Failed to refund unearned fee to client (cheater)
  • Failed to obtain police reports or other essential documents despite filing four extension requests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed $1,200.00 in investigative costs.

As we speak (ca. May 2026), Stevie practices his so-called brand of law with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in Phoenix, Arizona.
