Attorney Walter Parrish of Waterloo, IA; repeat offender

The state of Iowa presented Walter D. Parrish with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from Drake University School of Law.

FYI: This wasn’t’ Walt’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received three (3) complimentary admonitions for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Walt guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide notices to clients at or prior to withdrawals of entrusted funds
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Provided insufficient information and missed deadlines throughout audit process

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Walt by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2025), Walt practices his so-called brand of law in Waterloo, Iowa.
