Judge William Blaisdell IV of Ellsworth, ME; deadbeat Daddy

The State of Maine provided William Bradley Blaisdell IV with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law

The Maine Board of Bar Overseers found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to pay at least three (3) years’ worth of taxes
  • Improperly withheld child support payments from his ex-wife
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Billy!)
  • Held in contempt of court for failing to file state and federal taxes for 2020, 2021 and 2022
  • Found in contempt for not paying more than $30,000 of court-ordered child support (deadbeat Daddy)
  • Failed to comply with the law
  • Engaged in a serious lack of due diligence (slacker) in representing a client
  • Billy intended to withhold money from his family
  • Billy unjustly punished his children and ex-wife
  • Repeatedly ignored court orders (Up yours, said Billy!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Billy by providing him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license and ordered that he forfeit $10,000 from his salary, an amount equal to one month’s judicial pay.

As we speak (ca. April 2025), Billy continues to  practice his so-called brand of jurisprudence as a Probate Court Judge in Ellsworth, Maine.
