Judge Martha Adams of Orlando, FL; ethical elf

The state of Florida provided Marth Adams with a law license in 1999 after she graduated from Nova Southeastern University School of Law.

The Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission found Martha guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in biased, impatient, undignified, and discourteous behavior towards court staff
• Failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety
• Failed to perform her judicial duties without bias and prejudice
• Referred to an Assistant State Attorney (ASA) as an “ass” while presiding in court
• Displayed bias against the SAO by informing a group of ASAs that if their supervisor was going to make Marhta’s life a shambles, then you would do the same to him
• Evincing further bias by expressing her belief that the SAO was conspiring to remove you from the criminal bench and further stating that you would have to start being a “bitch” regarding her rulings, presumably to the detriment of the SAO and its cases
• Failed to uphold the integrity of the judiciary
• Failed to maintain the impartiality required by the Code of Judicial Conduct

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Martha by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak, (ca. May 2025), Marth continues to practice her so-called brand of jurisprudence as a Orange County Superior Court Judge in Orlando, Florida.
