Judge Jennifer Etheridge of Baltimore, MD; ethical goblin

The State of Maryland presented Jennifer Etheridge with a law license in 1999 after she graduated from the University of Massachusetts School of Law.

FYI: Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley was duped into appointing Jenny as a Baltimore City District Court Judge in May 2012. The reason Jenny was chosen was because she was deemed to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Maryland Judicial Commission found Jenny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as an Ohio County Magistrate Judge.

  • Jenny was inconsistent and dishonest in her statements regarding her mode of transportation on the date at issue
  • She repeatedly stated to the officers that she had been in an Uber when her subsequent written response to the investigation reflected that a friend had driven her that evening
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Jenny!)
  • Failed to show remorse for her misconduct
  • Jenny made multiple attempts to shift the blame for her conduct to others
  • Failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety
  • Failed to promote public confidence in the judiciary
  • Failed to avoid lending the prestige of her judicial office in a police investigation matter

As a direct result of her conduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Jenny by gifting her with a complimentary 5-day suspension from the bench without pay.

As we speak (ca. July 2025), Jenny continues to dispense her so-called brand of jurisprudence as a District Court Judge in Baltimore, Maryland.
