Attorney Robert Young of Pittsburgh, PA; slacker, loser

The state of Pennsylvania provided Robert G. Young with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from Temple University School of Law.

FYI: This isn’t Bobby’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a censure for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Bobby guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in multiple violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct arising from his representation in three separate client matters
  • Failed to file timely tax returns resulted in certain refunds being forfeited because the statute of limitations had expired
  • Failed to communicate reasonably with the executrix
  • Often represented to the executrix that he would finalize the estate, but did not do so for many years
  • The record demonstrates that Respondent was dilatory and unresponsive to his client and the court
  • Severely neglected the McCullough Estate for more than eight years
  • Delayed disbursement of estate funds to rightful beneficiaries, including charities
  • Did not keep Mrs. Olson informed as to the status of the estate, nor did he send her progress reports
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to deposit into a Trust Account legal fees and expenses that have been paid in advance
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to properly identify client funds
  • Failed to advise client the basis or rate of the fee to the client, in writing, before or within a reasonable time after commencing the representation
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to client reasonably informed about the status of the matter
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As direct a consequence of his misconduct the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2024), Bobby practices his so-called brand of law at 300 Mt. Lebanon Blvd in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
