Attorney Joshua Castmore of Trenton, MI; slacker, loser

The state of Michigan presented Joshua Charles Castmore with a law license in 2012 after he graduated from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Colley School of Law.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #5 found Josh guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct that exposes the legal profession or the courts to obloquy, contempt, censure, or reproach
• Failed to appear for a trial on client’s behalf despite being told that the judge intended to proceed with the trial as scheduled
• Joshua’s failure to appear resulted in the court granting the plaintiff’s motion for a directed verdict and entering a default judgment against his client
• Failed to take reasonable steps to protect a client’s interests upon termination
• Withdrew from representation and failed to appear on behalf of the client without a court order

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Michigan Supreme Court punished Josh by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand assessed costs of $920.45.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Josh fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.castmorelaw.com.Apparently, he decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.
