U.S. Judge Roger Benitez of San Diego; bullying loser

The state of California provided Roger T. Benitz with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Western State University of School of Law

FYI:Former President George W. Bush was duped into appointing Roger as U.S. District judge in San Diego  in late 2003. Roger didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified candidate in the greater San Diego area, he received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The 9th Circuit Judicial Council found Roger guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Ordered a marshal to handcuff a defendant's 13-year-old daughter to teach her a lesson about doing drugs
  • Shackling of a spectator at a hearing who is not engaged in threatening or disorderly behavior exceeds the authority of a district judge
  • Created a spectacle out of a minor child in the courtroom chilled the desire of friends, family members, and members of the public to support loved ones at sentencing
  • The impact on restraining the daughter caused her emotional distress and anxiety
  • At no point has Roger  accepted that his actions were ill-advised, improper, and damaging to the public’s trust in the judiciary
  • In fact, Roger blamed others for his outrageous conduct

As a direct result of his misconduct, the 9th Circuit Judicial Council punished Roger by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. August 2024), Roger Kay continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Federal District Court judge in San Diego, California.
