Judge Joanne Varley of England; scofflaw

The Lord Chief Justice and with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement found Joanne guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to exhibited respect for the law
• Joanne received nine penalty points over a five-month period for speeding
• Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
• Joanne caught speeding in residential areas on three separate occasions
• Engaged in impropriety or the appearance of impropriety

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Lord Chancellor and Lord Chief Justice punished Joanne by gifting her with a complimentary formal warning. It’s my understanding that this type of punishment can be very, very painful, especially if it is delivered in a nearby pub.

As we speak (ca. June 2024), Joanne continues to dispense her so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Justice of the Peace of the Lincolnshire Branch in the United Kingdom.
