Judge Adam Tear of England; ethical gremlin

The Law Society provided Adam Tear with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from the University of Essex School of Law.

The Lord Chief Justice and with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement found Adam guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in impropriety or the appearance of impropriety
• Failed to act in a courteous manner when dealing with those appearing before him
• Failed to respect the dignity of those appearing in his court
• Engaged in intolerant behavior towards those appearing before him
• Acted in a rude and aggressive manner in one or more hearings

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Lord Chancellor and Lord Chief Justice punished Adam by gifting him with complimentary formal warning. It’s my understanding that this type of punishment can be very, very painful, especially if it is delivered by a fellow female jurist.

As we speak (ca. February 2025), Adam continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Justice of the Peace of the Lincolnshire Branch in the United Kingdom.
