Judge Stephen Clements of England; ethical elf

The Lady Chief Justice and with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Made inappropriate comments to colleagues in the retiring room
• Made disparaging statements as to the effectiveness of rehabilitation policies relating to sex offenders
• Attacked the efficacy of rehabilitation programs for convicted offenders
• Engaged in impropriety or the appearance of impropriety
• Acted unprofessionally and failed to show self-awareness

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Lord Chancellor and Lady Chief Justice punished Stevie by gifting him with complimentary formal warning. It’s my understanding that this type of punishment can be very, very painful, especially if it is delivered by a female jurist.

As we speak (ca. June 2024), Brain continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Justice of the Peace of the Lincolnshire Branch in the United Kingdom.
