Attorney Jacob Van Cleaf of Des Moines, IA; ethical dwarf

The state of Iowa presented Jacob Aaron Michael Van Cleaf with a law license in 1983 after she graduated from Northern Illinois University School of Law.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Jake guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Disclosed confidential information relating to firm’s prior representations of Jake’s former client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Jake by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2024), Jake practices his so-called brand of law at 118 SE 4^th Street in Des Moines, Iowa.
