Attorney James Wooten of Birmingham, AL; ethical gremlin

The state of Alabama and Tennessee presented James Marion Wooten with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Samford University School of Law. 

The Alabama State Bar Association found Jimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with candor toward trial judge
• Failed to act fairly when dealing with opposing party and counsel
• Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness to practice law
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
• Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2024), Tommy practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Offices of James M. Wooten PC at 200 Century Park South in Birmingham, Alabama.
