Attorney Otilia Diaz of Phoenix, AZ; slacker, loser

The state of Arizona presented Otilia M. Diaz with a law license in 2002 after she graduate from Arizona State University School of Law.

The Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct found Otilia guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Misconduct involved multiple offenses
• In family court case, Otilia engaged in a conflict of interest with her client by entering into a business transaction with him bartering legal services against home remodeling work without making the required informed consent disclosures
• Failed to accurately communicate to the client the scope of services to be provided and the basis for the fee to be paid
• Failed to perform the contracted legal services
• Falsely blamed a medical condition to obtain an extension on the deadline to file an affidavit of attorney fees that eventuated in an evidentiary hearing and the assessment of attorney's fees against her
• Misconduct involved dishonest or selfish motive

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Otilia by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $1,200.00. 

And lastly, as one would suspect, Otilia fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on her self-serving website at www.otiliadiaz.com. Apparently, she chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. September 2024), Otilia practices her so-called brand of law with the Law Office of Otilia M Diaz at 55 East Thomas Road in Phoenix, Arizona.
