Attorney G. Karl Bernard of New Orleans, LA; ethical dwarf

The state of Louisiana presented G. Karl Bernard with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law.

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board found Bernard guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Grossly mishandled his client trust account
• Mishandling of client account resulted in the conversion of client and third-party funds
• Represented a party although he realized that doing so would constitute a conflict of interest

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Bernard by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Bernard fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.karlbernardlaw.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. August 2024), Bernard practices his so-called brand of law with Karl Bernard Law LLC at 1615 Poydras Street  in New Orleans, Louisiana.
