U.S. Judge Cormac Carney of Santa Ana, CA; bigoted moron

Unfortunately, the state of California provided Cormac J. Carney with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Harvard University School of Law.

FYI: Former President Goerge Bush was duped into nominating Cormac as a U.S. District Court Judge in 2003. Cormac didn’t obtain the nomination because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Orange County area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks and the Federalist Society.

In one matter, Cormac presided over the case of Robert Paul Rundo who is alleged to be the founder of the Rise Above Movement and was accused of recruiting and training others to attack political rivals in Orange County, San Bernardino County and Northern California. (Sean Emery, Orange County Register)

Rundo was charged with criminal conduct under the Anti-Riot Act—charges that involved RAM’s participation in violent events across California and Charlottesville, Virginia.

In a lame and obvious attempt to paint himself as a white nationalist sympathizer, Cormac had the chutzpah to dismiss the criminal charges against Rundo under the sham guise that he was the subject of selective prosecution.

Cormac further established his bona fides as a bigoted moron when he stated in dismissing the charges against Rundo that Rundo and Rise Above Movement members likely promoted “reprehensible” ideas and “likely committed violence,” but said far-left members of Antifa “engaged in worse conduct” but were not targeted for prosecution.

So, we have Cormac basically apologizing for White Nationalists and then trying to justify his bigotry and incompetency by claiming the conduct of Rundo et al., shouldn’t be prosecuted because Antifa protestors weren’t prosecuted.

An emergency appeal was filed by the prosecution, which led to an immediate order calling for Rundo’s arrest and incarceration while the appellate court rules on Rundo’s asinine dismissal of the criminal charges lodged against him.

As we speak (ca. April 2024), Cormac continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a U.S. District Court Judge in Santa Ana, California.
