Attorney Lon Hughes of Lancaster, PA; convicted drunk

The state of Pennsylvania presented Lon Vandusen Hughes with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from Fordham University School of Law.

The Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board found Lon guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Conduct adversely reflects on fitness to practice
  • Pled guilty to driving under the influence (DUI) in April 2019
  • Failed to notify Supreme Court of his 2019 conviction until May 2021
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Lon!)
  • Committed a criminal act reflecting poorly on his honesty and trustworthiness

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Lon by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2024), Lon practices his so-called brand of law at 908 Columbia Avenue in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
