Attorney Walter Zitz of New Hartford, CT; ethical gremlin

The state of Connecticut provided Walter David Zitz with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Georgetown University School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Walt guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
  • Conditioned refund of unearned fee of $244.50 for client’s release of any claims against Walt
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to so act
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Falsely asserted fees were earned upon receipt from the client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Walt by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2024), Dmitry practices his so-called brand of law at 442 Steele Road in New Hartford, Connecticut.
