The state of North Dakota presented William E. McKechniewith a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law.

FYI: This wasn’t Billy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received five admonitions and one reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Disciplinary Board found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Knowingly failed to perform services for his client
• Failed to file client’s appeal
• Negligence led to client’s loss of his appellate rights
• Misconduct led to actual client injury

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the North Dakota Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), Billy practices his so-called brand of law with New England Financial at 301 Carlson Parkway in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
