Former Phillipine Judge Edralin Reyes; ethical troll

The Philippine Supreme Court provided Edralin Reyes with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines School of Law.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines found Edralin guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in gross misconduct
• Communicated with lawyers and private persons to ask for bribes including money, a car and guns in exchange for favorable actions in cases pending before his court
• Granted bail and/or permission to allow a defendant to travel abroad based on acceptance of a bribe
• Acquitted of two murder suspects upon the instructions of Mayor Joselito Malabanan of Victoria town in Oriental Mindoro
• Details of Edralin’s crooked  transactions were in a laptop issued by the court to Reyes in 2018 when he was assigned as acting presiding judge of Branch 39 of the Roxas RTC

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Philippine Supreme Court ordered that Judge Reyes be permanently removed from the bench.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), it is rumored that Edralin has an application pending as a bathroom monitor at the Neon Nights Strip Club on Burgos Street in Manila, Philippines.
