Attorney Venancio Padilla of Philippines; slacker, loser

The Philippine Supreme Court provided Venancio Padilla with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines School of Law.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines found Venancio guilty of the following misconduct

  • Failed to keep client informed status of case
  • Failed to respond to client information requests
  • Handled legal matter without adequate preparation
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to participate in continuing legal education programs
  • Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to file proper pleading involving motion to dismiss client’s case
  • Failed to live up to his duties as a lawyer

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Republic of the Philippines Supreme Court punished Venancio by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), Venancio practices his so-called brand of law in Malasiqui, Pangasinan, Philippines.
