Attorney Timothy Shepard, Jr. of Mobile, AL; slacker, loser

The state of Alabama and Tennessee presented Timothy Marion Shepard, Jr. with a law license in 2012 after he graduated Samford University School of Law.
The Alabama State Bar Association found Timmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.
-
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
-
Failed to communicate with his clients
-
Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness to practice law
-
Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
-
Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
-
Exchanged text messages with his client wherein Timmy informed the client that his case was ongoing
-
Danny’s text messages gave the impression that he had been in contact with the Court to check on the status of the case, when in fact, Shepard had not contacted the court or checked on the status of the case
-
Failed to appear at court-ordered hearing on client’s behalf, which led to client’s case being dismissed
-
Trial court ordered Danny to pay GAL fees in the amount of $1,575.00
-
When Danny failed to comply with court order to pay the Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) the $1,575.00 fee, the court issued a Show Cause Order directing Danny and his client to appear to show cause as to why the fee was not previously paid
-
The trial court subsequently issued an order that the client pay the $1,570.00 GAL fee
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary 91-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. April 2024), Danny practices his so-called brand of law at 155 South Warren Street in Mobile, Alabama.
