Attorney Joseph Samra Jr. of Boston, MA; scamming perjurer

The state of Massachusetts presented Joseph S. Samra Jr. with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Suffolk University School of Law. Kelly also obtained a license to practice in the District of Columbia in 2007.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Joey’s First bite at the Attorney Misfits Appel Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Joey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Made false statement (perjury) under oath
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Filed false and frivolous lawsuit
• Frivolous lawsuit was designed sole to harass or embarrass McCarthy, with whom the respondent had a long and adverse history
• Sham/frivolous lawsuit had no legitimate purpose
• Joey has a history of apparent litigation abuse, including contempt findings in his own divorce case
• Several contempt complaints filed against Joey by his domestic partner for child support
• Legal malpractice filed by Joey against his divorce lawyer was dismissed at summary judgment for Joey’s failure to identify an expert witness
• Federal lawsuit filed by Joey resulted in $60,000 in legal fees being awarded against him along with a contempt finding
• Conduct caused substantial harm to the court and others
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Was less than candid when dealing with ethics investigators
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license. 

And lastly, because Attorney Misfits and Liars in Massachusetts are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Joey was never criminally charged and/or prosecuted for perjury.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), Joey practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Office of Joseph Samra at 24 Maple Way in Boston, Massachusetts.
