Former Judge John Suddock of Anchorage, AK; incompetent loser

The state of Alaska provided John Suddock with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the Antioch School of Law.

FYI: Former Gov. Sarah Frank Murkowski was duped into appointing Johnny as a Third Judicial District Court Judge in Anchorage 2007. Johnny didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified jurist and/or attorney in the greater Anchorage area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

Johnny’s incompetence and improper behavior came about while he was employed as a Third Judicial District Court judge in Anchorage. At the time Johnny was presiding over a case where a defendant, Brian Dussault was acquitted of first-degree murder by reason of insanity and committed to the Alaska Psychiatric Institute.

Johnny’s incompetence and misconduct led to the Alaska Court of Appeals making the following comments about his behavior in conjunction with the Dussault matter.

• A reasonable person who was conversant with all the pertinent circumstances would question Johnny's ability to impartially adjudicate Dussault's case
• Engaged in a series of improper ex parte [one-sided] communications with William Hogan, the Commissioner of the Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS).
• Johnny's ex parte communications were not authorized by law and said communications created an appearance of impropriety that requires his disqualification from this case
• A reasonable person would suspect that when Johnny pursued his actions, he assumed the role of an advocate rather than an impartial arbiter
• It reasonably appeared that Johnny was no longer waiting to evaluate whatever plan Dussault's lawyer might propose for Dussault's supervised release  — that, instead, Johnny had a particular type of supervised release in mind, and he was privately attempting to influence state officials to agree to his plan
• It was apparent that Johnny tried to alter the Department's stance by privately asking a third party — Commissioner Hogan — to lobby White's superiors in the Department of Corrections to reverse her decision

And lastly, it goes without saying that Johnny didn’t much care when he’s overturned (rebuked in truth) by the appellate court since he fully understands no Alaskan judge had ever been tossed off the bench for being an incompetent boob, and additionally the only folks who suffered financially were Dussault and the taxpayers.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), Johnny practices his so-called brand of law in Anchorage, Alaska.
